BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Bergenfield High School student Sarai Cruz took home a first-place prize for her short film at the New Jersey High School Film Festival.
Her powerful short film, "From a Star" won in the "Uncategorizable!" category. You can view the three-minute film here.
"She received a $100 scholarship, along with multiple film software and music license credits," the school district noted in a Thursday Facebook post. "Congrats!"
Cruz created the film in her creative video class.
