Urman, a hairstylist at the Purple Rain Salon, is also the CEO and Founder at Pet ResQ Inc.

After 10 minutes, Urman called Tenafly police.

“If that dog had died or ended up in serious distress….,” she told CLIFFVIEW PILOT, noting that temperatures this afternoon pushed past the mid-80s.

Responding Officer Joseph Grieco popped the lock on the black Mercedes truck and saved the day.

A short time later, the 50-year-old Demarest driver emerged with packages from a nearby CVS.

Tenafly police issued a warning, and the Bergen County SPCA confirmed that it picked up the case for potential animal cruelty charges.
