Bergen County Police Officer McGuiness stopped the  white Dodge Charger around 12:30 this afternoon near River Road.

A computer check turned up the suspended license and warrants. Then came a patdown that turned up the pot, Lt. James Mullin said.

The driver, 29-year-old Vincent West, was being held on $10,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.

Bergenfield and North Bergen were expected to file detainers on him for offenses out of their towns.

It is not the first time West, who has drug and assault convictions on his record, has been caught driving on the suspended list.

He spent three weeks in the county jail, beginning in mid-May, after a stop in Teaneck.
