Port Authority PD: GWB scofflaw had 20 outstanding warrants

ANOTHER CVP EXCLUSIVE: A cracked windshield and a partially covered licensed plate led to the discovery today of 20 local warrants — worth nearly $2,500 — against a driver from Washington State, Port Authority police said.

The unpaid summonses included three out of Bergen County, four out of West New York and a whopping 13 out of North Bergen alone.

Jose Ebro I Sajbochol-Otzou, 26, of Kent, WA was stopped by PAPD Officer Frank Franco after his white 1998 Chevy Suburban rolled through the upper level toll plaza around 8:15 a.m., the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

First, Sajbochol-Otzou handed Franco an expired Washington State driver’s license, Pentangelo said.

Then the officer ran a computer check that turned up the 20 warrants totaling $2,492, he said.

These included one for $300 out of Bergenfield and another for $490 out of West New York, Pentangelo said.

“He paid up, then wanted to get back in his car and leave — but he couldn’t. Not without a driver’s license,” he said. “A family member had to drive it off.”

The warrant breakdown:

Bergenfield: $300
Fairview: $120
Dumont: $89
West New York: (4): $1,140
North Bergen (13): $838*

*Eight of those are for $65 ea.
