Records show Michael Mancero, a 45-year-old support technician at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, also owed more than $2,000 to the courts in Bergen County when he was jailed last November.
It was the fifth time he'd been brought in by county sheriff's officers for not paying up since 2011, when the bill was nearly $3,300, records show.
Mancero also was driving on the suspended list when PAPD Officer Leonel Gonzalez stopped his Nissan driven around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday after it passed through the lower-level tolls, the Port Authority's Joseph Pentangelo said.
A check showed that his E-ZPass account also had been revoked, with more than 270 violations, Pentangelo said.
The North Bergen native was released on a summons charging him with theft of services, driving with a suspended license and toll evasion.
