A street sign was toppled, as well in the South Prospect Avenue crash, near Whitman Street, which brought wires down just after 5:30 a.m.

The airbags deployed and no serious injuries were immediately reported.

South Prospect remained closed early Saturday while utility crews tended to the damaged poles.

NOTE: A previous version of this story incorrectly referred to the vehicle as a Jeep.
