Sgt. William Duby Jr. and Officers Richard Giacobone Jr. and Derek Mattessich arrived at the 38-year-old mother of two’s Asbury Street home around 7 a.m. Saturday and found her in cardiac arrest, Police Chief Frank Papapietro said.

They immediately began CPR, which was continued with the arrival of Holy Name Medical Center BLS and ALS units, he said.

The woman was reported in stable condition at Holy Name, the chief told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

“The actions of these officers saved the patient’s life and is typical of the professionalism constantly displayed by New Milford officers — as well as by officers across the country serving us each and every day,” the chief said.
