John L. Kross, 64, posted $22,500 and was released pending a Jan. 14 Municipal Court hearing on stalking and harassment charges.
A judge ordered him to have no contact with any of the alleged victims.
New Milford police also took custody of a legal handgun — “still brand new, in the box,” said Capt. John F. Kiene, the commanding officer in charge.
Over the past seven years, Kross “repeatedly engaged in acts of stalking and harassment of former family members utilizing the US Mail to defame them, the internet to acquire photographs and personal information on them and to make anonymous internet forum postings, and did also follow, photograph and make record of their daily lives,” Kiene said.
Kross was arrested Saturday after a court-authorized search warrant was executed at his Faller Drive home, the captain said.
