YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: A mini-van bounced off two cars before plowing into the rear of a New Milford nail salon tonight, bursting pipes in the building.
The 40-year-old driver told police that “she may have stepped on the gas rather then the brake” before her minivan crashed into Lina’s Top Nails and Spa on River Road at 5:45 p.m., Sgt. Brian Long told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
“The nail salon was open but luckily no one was in that area when the car hit the building,” Sgt. Brian Clancy said.
The driver, who was alone, declined medical treatment, he said.
Building inspectors red-tagged the store and a second-floor apartment but said the building’s integrity wasn’t compromised.
Bergen Brookside Auto Body & Towing removed the minivan.
