Mexican border posse now includes Seagal, Ferrigno

EDITORIAL: Repeat after me: “I…” “I…” “State your name.” “State your name.” The latest posse gathered to round up Mexican border jumpers includes actors Steven Seagal, Peter Lupus of TV’s “Mission: Impossible,” and “The Incredible Hulk” himself, Lou Ferrigno. Who’s next? Adam West?

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio swore in 56 new members of his expanding volunteer posse, which he said will “specialize in helping deputies crack down on illegal immigration.”

Their duties will include bringing arrestees to jail and handling demonstrators who interfere with immigration patrols.

Some of nearly 3,000 members who’ve already enlisted in the posse have served in supporting roles during immigration border patrols, said Arpaio, who never fails to entertain, despite the importance of his role in securing our southern border.

This latest crew sounds like a low-rent version of the movie “The Expendables,” which features Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jason Statham.

Lupus, you might remember, is the former “Mr. Hercules” who — at an imposing 6-foot-4 and nearly all muscle — played Willy Armitage on “Mission Impossible.”

He’s 78 now.

Let’s help this group doesn’t self-destruct after 15 minutes of publicity.
