Miguel Ponce Luna, 34, of Arnold, MD was taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests following the crash near the corner of East Clinton Avenue and James Street just after 10 o’clock Saturday night, police said.

Luna later gave two breath samples at police headquarters, Detective Capt. Cathy Madalone said.

Police gave him summonses for DWI in a school zone, reckless driving, not having proof of registration or insurance and not having what are known as touring privileges, which allow a new resident licensed under lower requirements in another state to drive in New Jersey for up to 60 days.

Luna was then released with a court date, Madalone said.
