Adan Martinez, 46, must first serve six years in state prison as part of a plea bargain stemming from the incident two years ago.

“You do understand you will be deported?” Superior Judge James J. Guida told Martinez through a Spanish interpreter.

“Yes,” he replied.

Negotiations in the case went back and forth through the day until an agreement was struck just past 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon.

Martinez originally was charged with several counts, including rape, statutory rape, touching various parts of the girl’s body and impairing the morals of a minor.

In return for his guilty plea, all of the charges were dropped except for statutory rape.

Martinez will remain in the Bergen County Jail until sentencing, set for Sept. 27.
