BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Bergenfield police were seeking the public's help finding an intellectually disabled 26-year-old woman who walked off from a local group home.
Jennifer Hasbrouck "voluntarily walked out and did not return" to Vantage Group home on March 9 at 8:42 p.m., Capt. Mustafa Rabboh said late Thursday.
However, she was later seen at the Vantage Health Center in Englewood, he ssaid.
Hasbrouck is about 5-foot-6 and 300 punds, with short, curly brown hair and hazel eyes.
She was last seen wearing grey pants and a pink T-shirt while carrying a small black duffel bag.
She also has a noticeably large gap between her front teeth.
Hasbrouck "is known to travel by bus and integrate herself with the homeless community in and around the Port Authority Bus station in NYC," Rabboh said.
Bergenfield police issued local police alerts and checked area hospitals, with no luck, the captain said.
"If seen, do not approach her, as Ms. Hasbrouck has been known to be violent towards civilians and [l]aw [e]nforcement in the past," he said.
