Hackensack Cook Charged With Sexually Assaulting Dumont Girl, 8

DUMONT, N.J. -- A married cook from Hackensack was being held on $250,000 bail after authorities charged him with sexually assaulting an 8-year-old Dumot girl.

Carlos Enrique Lliguisupa-Medina, 32, was arrested on sexual assault and child endangerment counts on Monday, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Tuesday afternoon.

The night before, the girl told detectives from Grewal's Special Victims Unit that Lliguisupa-Medina "inappropriately touched her more than one time...on intimate parts of her body...between August 2013 and August 2014," he said.

He's due for a first appearance Wednesday morning in Hackensack Municipal Court.

Hackensack and Dumont police participated in the investigation, the prosecutor said.
