The contest was held in conjuction with the 30th annual Hoboken Artists Studio Tour, at which Lynn Paret — an artist and music writer for CLIFFVIEW PILOT — is exhibiting her work from noon to 6 p.m. today.
More than 150 artists, photographers, sculptors and artisans are exhibiting their work at nearly three dozen art studios, galleries, group spaces and local shops citywide, in what essentially is a whistle-stop tour for adventurous art lovers, during this weekend’s festival.
Tour maps are available at City Hall (94 Washington St.), and in issues of The Hoboken Reporter next week. Free shuttle buses will stop at various points, including City Hall, the PATH Station, and the Monroe Center for the Arts, a co-sponsor of the event and the host for Lynn’s unique showing.
If you prefer not to deal with traffic and parking, there are plenty of ways to get there, including the PATH, NJ Transit trains or buses, the Hudson/Bergen Lightrail and NY Waterway ferries.
Lynn’s exhibition runs from noon to 6 p.m. TODAY in Studio C-305 at the center, 720 Monroe Street.
Guitarist Steven Grace Najemian, owner of the Guitar Boutique in Ridgefield, will perform throughout the showing. It’s fitting, given that many of Lynn’s portraits are of rock stars and other musicians.
