BERGENFIELD, N.J. – A Bergenfield bandit walked down local streets and snatched $1,600 worth of merchandise and cash from nearly a dozen unlocked cars, authorities said.
Police investigating the thefts the nights of July 21 and 22 on Malden Court, Greenwich Street, and Judith Place targeted Sebastian Nino-Lopez, 21, Capt. Mustafa Rabboh said.
They charged him with 11 counts of burglary and five counts of theft, then released Nin-Lopez on a summons to appear in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack
Rabboh, meanwhile, reminded citizens to “be vigilant in watching for suspicious persons and to remember to lock the doors to all vehicles and residences to avoid being an easy target.”
