The girl was in the intersection crosswalk as Irina Shevchuck, 51, of Fair Lawn, turned from West Clinton Avenue onto South Prospect Avenue, Capt. Mustafa Rabboh said.

She sustained a cut on her face and complained of head and neck pain to her neck and head area, and was taken by Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center, he said.

High School Principal James Fasano followed the ambulance with his personal vehicle, awaiting the youngster's mother, Rabboh said.
