BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- A car snapped a utility pole in half in Bergenfield, closing a busy road Friday morning.
The driver, who apparently was cut off, was OK after an air bag deployed in the crash on West Clinton Avenue, two doors east of South Washington Avenue, around 8 a.m.
West Clinton was closed between Smith and South Washington while responders cleared the wreckage and a utility crew began replacing the pole and repairing downed wires.
