John Daquion Green, 25, of Brooklyn was being held on $100,000 bail and Esperanza Ramirez, a 39-year-old Dominican national living in Harlem on $50,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.
Both are charged with illegal weapons possession.
Sgt. Christopher Perrelli and Officers Richard Cordero and Andelson Mindest were responding to a domestic violence call when Green tried to toss the would-be weapon into his car, Detective Capt. Donald Scorzetti said..
