NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- Rita T. Capezzuto, of New Milford, died Monday, Nov. 14. She was 97.
She is survived by her children, Joan Selbo, Diane Capra and her husband Bob and Donna Corrado and her husband Larry; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was born Sept. 27, 1919, in Germany to Mary (nee Rheem) and Ludwig Heumiller and was raised in North Bergen. She devoted her life to being a homemaker and mother. She was a lifelong parishioner of Ascension Church in New Milford, a member of their Rosary Society and a volunteer at the school.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ascension Church. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., Dumont.
