NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- Paul J. Licata Sr., of New Milford, died Sunday, Aug. 28. He was 91.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a resident of New Milford for more than 60 years. He was a lifetime member of the New Milford-Teaneck Elks Lodge 2290, where served as a past exalted ruler.
He was survived by his wife of 69 years, Edith (nee Brunt). He also was the father of Lynn Voorhees and her husband Gary, Tom Licata and his wife Fran, Steve Licata and his wife Valerie, Paul Licata Jr., David Licata, and Diane Platt and her husband Ken. He also was survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Rose Tice, Theresa Cesare and Marie Connelly.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford. Burial to follow in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. An Elks memorial service will be offered at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
