DUMONT, N.J. -- Marie (Moutenot) Franco -- a Dumont resident, formerly of Edgewater -- died on Tuesday, April 5. She was 78.
Franco enjoyed many summers in Vermont with her cousin Penny and many friends. Before she retired, she was secretary to the principal at Dwight Morrow High School, in Englewood.
She is survived by her brother, James Moutenot and his wife Lucille; sister-in-law Arlene Moutenot; two nieces and four nephews; 11 great-nieces and great-nephews; and her cat, Beau Chat.
Franco was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, Alfredo Franco; parents Edmond and Mary Moutenot; and brother Edmond Jean.
A funeral mass was held Monday morning, April 11, at Our Lady of Victories Church, in Harrington Park. Robert Spearing Funeral Home, in Park Ridge, assisted with arrangements.
