BERGENFIELD, N.J. —A resident of Bergenfield, Margaret Lacey, died Thursday, Aug. 18. She was 80.
Born Oct. 17, 1935, in the Bron, she went on to attend St. John’s University, where she received a BS in nursing. She would later earn a master’s degree in psychology from Montclair State University.
She always was a very active member of her community and church.
She was the mother of James R. Lacey and his wife Barbara, John B. Lacey and Francine, Nancy E. Lacey and Christopher Lacey and his late wife Theresa; sister of John Brandon and his wife Shelly; grandmother of Brandon Lacey, Juliana Lacey, Christopher B. Lacey, Jonathan Lacey, Lauren Lacey and Leanne Lacey; and aunt of John Brandon and Claire Brandon, MD.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in her memory at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Church of the Ascension, 256 Azalea Drive, New Milford. Her family will receive friends and relatives from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Ave., New York, NY 10065.
