Lloyd Wing, 87, Dumont Resident

DUMONT, N.J. -- Lloyd Elden Wing of Dumont passed away on Nov. 7. He was 87. 

Wing was born in Gray, Maine to Everett and Myra Wing.  

He was a graduate of the University of Maine, Orno with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. After college, Wing worked as a Mechanical Engineer, most recently at Singer Kearfott in Little Falls before retiring. He also worked for Curtiss-Wright Corp., Woodridge for many years, working on the J65 jet engine.

Wing enjoyed tinkering on the family's cars, family vacations to Long Island, St. Thomas and trips to Hawaii, the Panama Canal and Alaska with his wife, Bea.

Wing is survived by his wife of 56 years; children Brenda Moderacki and her husband Edmund, and David Wing and his husband Buddy Reimers; and grandson Christopher Moderacki.  

The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road in Westwood on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9p.m. 

The Funeral Service celebrating Lloyd's life and faith will be held at Church of the Savior Lutheran , 643 Forest Avenue in Paramus on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. 

Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Lloyd's name to Church of the Savior Lutheran.
