DUMONT, N.J. -- Joseph E. Governale, of Dumont, died on Dec. 20. He was 62.
He was born Aug. 5, 1954. He will be remembered for the great love he had for his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan who loved the NY Mets, NY Giants, and the Semi-Pro football team the Jersey Boxers, that he partially owned.
He is survived by his son, Joseph A. Governale and his wife Sharon; and fiance, Donamarie Jones. Beloved "father" to Jonathan and Justin Osborne and Joseph Cabezas.
Visiting at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 4-8 p.m. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 2451 Crystal Dr., Suite 900 Arlington, VA 22202.
