John Joseph Lambe, 80, Formerly Of Dumont

DUMONT, N.J. — John “Jack” Joseph Lambe died Saturday, April 30. He was 80.

Lambe was born and raised in the Bronx, N.Y. and graduated from St. Peter and Paul School.

After serving in the U.S. Army, Lambe met his wife Marion and the two moved to Dumont to raise their family before retiring to the Jersey Shore and Florida. 

He is survived by his four children, Cathy Lambe and husband Richard Fogel, Tara and husband John Reilly, Trish Lambe and James Lambe; and grandsons, Sean, Jason, Eamon, Myles and Nolan.

He was predeceased by his parents, Catherine (Holian) and Patrick; his brother Thomas; his eldest son Shawn; and his wife Marion Doyle of 47 years. 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Frech Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., Dumont.

The funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St Mary’s R.C. Church, 280 Washington Ave., Dumont followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, N.Y.
