Born in the Bronx, Ragone was a longtime car enthusiast and the proud owner of JR's Auto Body in Bergenfield. He also was an avid fisherman and loved boating.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Ragone; his fiancee Helen Fleming; mother Maryann Ragone; and his siblings, Dominick and his wife Kathleen, and Kim Ragone.
Ragone was predeceased by his father, Dominick Joseph Ragone.
Visiting hours will be from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., in Dumont. A funeral mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary's, in Dumont. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories, in Washington Township.
