DUMONT, N.J. -- Honora Ita O'Conno (nee Mooney), 73, of Dumont, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016.
She was the mother of Michael and his wife Beverly, Brendan and his wife Kerry and Mary Dunlea and her husband John; grandmother of Tommy, John, Ciara, Zach, Dylan and Maeve; and sister of Mary, John, William, Sheila, Patrick, Ann, Brendan, Breda and Imelda. She also is survived by her sister-in-law, Bridget; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bernard J. (2007); and brother, Kiernan.
She was born in County Mayo, Ireland to Celia (nee Ruvane) and Thomas Mooney. She emigrated from Ireland to the United States, making Dumont her home. She was employed for many years as a payroll supervisor at New York Telephone Company.
A funeral Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Dumont. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tenafly. Visitation is from 3-9 p.m. Sunday at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., Dumont.
