NEW MILFORD, Conn. – Gerald T. Osborne Jr., 72, of New Milford, died Sunday, Nov. 29.
Formerly of Danbury and New Milford, he was born in Mahopac, N.Y. Nov. 25, 1943, son of the late Gerald T. Osborne Sr. and Doris Beebe.
Osborne graduated from Pawling High School and Dutchess Community College. He served as a helicopter mechanic and then as an instructor in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1964-67. After he returned, he worked for Xerox Corporation, and later was a counselor for Four Winds in Carmel. He then became a case manager for the Dutchess County Mental Health Association in Millbrook, working with retired and disabled veterans.
He loved watching football, being on the computer, and doing yard work.
He married Lisa D. Woodin Dec. 12, 1993 in Pawling; she survives at home. He also is survived by his two daughters, Kristeen (David) Ezell of Bradention, Fla. and Jennifer (Stephen) Pugner of Bethel two grandsons, Nathan and Christopher Pugner; his sister Susan (Cam) Garrow; his niece Colleen and great-nephew Matthew all of North Carolina; his step-son Kyle Lyon of Pawling; and his loving puppies, Jack and Scarlett.
