David M. Wagner, 84, Of Bergenfield

BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- David M. Wagner, 84, of Bergenfield, died Friday, Oct. 7. 

 He was born April 27, 1932, in Knoxville, Tenn., to the late Camille Onita (nee Blanton) and Hollis Worth Wagner. 

He owned and operated National Security Systems in Bergenfield, for 48 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. As a faithful parishioner of St. John’s RC Church, he was a Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the Golden Age Club. 

He is survived by his wife, Arlene (nee Allgor); children, Mark D. Wagner and his wife, Barbara, Stephen J. Wagner and his companion Debbie, Timothy G. Wagner and his wife Jo Anne, Donna M. and her husband Rico Recio and Susan M. and her husband Jim Jacobs; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 

Two brothers predeceased him. 

The funeral will be held at 9 a.m.Wednesday at the Frech Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave.,, Dumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist RC Church, 29 N. Washington Ave., Bergenfield. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
