Bernard Cassidy of Dumont, died on Thursday, Jan. 19. He was 87.  

He was born in County Monaghan, Ireland, May 26, 1929, to Mary (McQuaid) and John Cassidy. He was employed with MaBSTOA for more than 20 years and later at Honiss School, Dumont. He was a proud Army Veteran, serving with the military police and a member of Camp Merritt American Legion Post #21 of Cresskill.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Higgins); children, Mary De Voe and her husband Paul, Bernard and his wife Valerie and Timothy and his wife Vilna; grandchildren, Liam and Alana De Voe, Wesley, Padraic and Christopher Cassidy; and sister, Mary Finley and her husband John.
