BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Beneto Collova passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 6, 2016. He was 82.
Born in Hackensack, he was a longtime resident of Bergenfield.
Collova was a spiritual, generous, well-respected, hard-working business man whose greatest love was his family. He was known for his charm, wit and wonderful sense of humor and loved to make everyone laugh.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette Collova, to whom he was married for 58 years; son, Barry Collova and his wife Mary; daughter, Darlene Collova-Dilieto and her husband Michael; granddaughter, Michele Diaz and her husband Christian; brother, Frank Collova; and sister, Rosemarie Stout.
He was predeceased by his brother, Salvatore; and two sisters, Sadie and Helen.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Goodwin Ave., Wyckoff. The funeral service will begin at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
