NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- Arthur J. Ehrenbeck Sr. of New Milford, died on Saturday, Jan. 2. He was 97.
He was born in Bayonne, New Jersey to the late Anna (nee Brody) and Arthur J. Ehrenbeck. He was a Navy veteran who served during World War II, and was employed first as a stenographer for the New York City District Attorney’s Office, and then later as a certified court stenographer for the State of New Jersey, Bergen County Court House. After retiring, he was a volunteer at Pascack Valley Hospital for over 20 years.
He is survived by his children, Arthur Ehrenbeck Jr., Kathryn Wegner and her husband, Manfred, and Linda Harner.
Burial will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont.
