DUMONT, N.J. -- Alison Leigh Verga, of Dumont, died Nov. 11. She was 35.
She was born and raised in Dumont, graduated from Dumont High School and worked for her father's family businesses until his retirement. Although her illness made her appear frail, she exhibited a strength and determination to overcome incredible odds; allowing her to have added time with friends and family.
Family, friends and others whose lives she touched are invited to reminisce, grieve and support each other and of course, just chat.
She is survived by her parents, Edward and Elizabeth Verga; brother, Brian Verga; nephew, James; grandmother, Dorothea Verga; and aunts and uncles, Joseph and Judith Verga, Isabelle Driscoll, Lillian Graviano, Carl and Karen Verga, Dorothy Verga, Margaret and Michael Doheny and Rosemarie Kiebs.
There will be a private cremation with memorial visiting from 2-6 p.m. Sayurday at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Ave., Bergenfield with a memorial service at 5:30 p.m.
