BERGENFIELD, N.J. — Tax Assessor George Reggo, a part-time tax assessor in 10 towns, including Bergenfield, has sued the borough for breach of contract, northjersey.com reports.
In a complaint filed in Superior Court, he alleges Bergenfield violated the law by setting hours for his office on Monday evenings, according to the article.
Reggo says the hours are above and beyond what he is supposed to work, and he collectively made $212,506 last year. NorthJersey.com reports.
