Modern Digs Coming For New Milford Police

NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- Police will soon have a new place to call home in New Milford after the mayor and council voted in favor of hiring Two Brothers Contracting Inc. of Totowa, reports northjersey.com.

The resolution to hire the lowest bidder was passed 4-3, with Mayor Ann Subrizi casting the tie breaker, reports northjersey.com.

Some council members said they feared Two Brothers bid of $3.9 million was too low, considering typical estimates of $4.5 and $4.6 million, reports northjersey.com.

The company's lack of experience also came into play when the council debated who should handle the 14,000-square-foot, two-story structure planned behind Borough Hall, reports northjersey.com.
