Elliot Halberstam, 38 -- who was an assistant director with Jewish Family Service & Children's Center of Clifton-Passaic -- tricked the 16-year old boy into recording sexual conduct and sending it to him, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara of Manhattan said.

A criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court alleges that Halberstam "groomed" the boy via text messages and emails, sometimes posing as another person, then had him come to his Englewood office and hotel rooms beginning this past March.

The FBI charged Halberstam with coercing and enticing a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity, sexual exploitation of a child, and receipt of child pornography.

Federal authorities asked that anyone with other information about Halberstam contact the New York FBI office; (212) 384-1000 or https://tips.fbi.gov/.
