DUMONT, N.J. -- Members of the Dumont Borough Council voted 5-1 to approve the development of apartments on the D'Angelo Farms and Borough Hall properties, according to NorthJersey.com.
Several residents attended the meeting in voiced their opposition to the development of 142 new apartments on the land. Only Council President Barbara Correa voted against the measure, NorthJersey.com reported.
Developer Landmark Dumont, LLC filed suit against the borough two years ago in an effort to get the land re-zoned for affordable housing, NorthJersey.com said.
