Her children have found a nutritionist who has had success with cancer patients, and are deciding to try the holistic route.
The only problem? The money.
"Pat is on an intensive regimen of supplements,smoothies and juices," family friend Suzanne Walker said.
"This is an extremely expensive process and they are also looking at home care for her in the near future."
More than $11,000 had been raised as of Dec. 30 on a GoFundMe for the mom of three.
What started as colon cancer 2.5 years ago has spread to her stomach, liver and kidneys.
