The last incident happened when the passenger-side suspension fell off while the 27-year-old, who was born with cerebral palsy, was driving with her family on the New Jersey Turnpike. They all nearly died that day.
Without the van, Zanoria needs her aging father to lift her into a car.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Zanoria had raised more than $3,200 on a GoFundMe page that she hopes will soon get her a new handicap-accessible van.
More than anything, Zanoria said, she needs the new vehicle to alleviate the stress that her disability has put on her family.
"Sometimes you feel like you're a burden to those around you," she said. "That's the weight I've carried and continue to carry in my heart for the longest time."
Zanoria can see the strain on loved ones' faces every time they have to lift her to the bathroom, from her bed and whenever she gets in the car.
"They do it anyways because I'm family," she said. "That's what families do for each other without complaint."
