BERGENFIELD, N.J. — Three siblings in Bergenfield recently raised $230 for local veterans.
The Abraham/DeSotto children — Ariana (10), Jayden (7) and Noah (6), along with Ariana's friend Triahna — started their stand last year, when they donated to a Little Ferry family who lost their home in a house fire and a 5-year-old boy who later succumbed to cancer.
They came up with the hashtag, #BergenfieldLilSuperheroes on Facebook.
"Helping others is something that the world could always use more of," mom Betsy told Daily Voice.
The stand will run every other week on School Street, and will raise money for a different cause each time.
