Geri Halliwell-Horner, who was Ginger Spice in the Spice Girls, the British pop group that took over the world in the late 90s, is signing copies of her new young adult book "Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen" at Books and Greetings in Northvale on Monday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m.
The book is about Rosie Frost, an orphaned girl sent to Bloodstone Island, a location that features a school for extraordinary teens and a sanctuary for endangered species, according to a synopsis. Rosie meets a meaning headmaster, a group of mean kids and learns shocking family secrets, and enters the Falcon Queen games to save the island, according to a synopsis.
Aside from her career with the Spice Girls and as a solo act, Halliwell-Horner has become a prolific author, writing her memoir "If Only" and six books in the "Ugenia Lavender" series.
