The Doctor Is In At The Valley Hospital's Teddy Bear Clinic

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- The doctor will see you -- and your stuffed animal, too -- at The Valley Hospital this October.

The Valley Hospital will hold its fourth annual Teddy Bear Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 7, to help teach children about hospitals and the medical field in a fun, engaging -- and fuzzy -- setting. Valley doctors, nurses and staff will be on hand to educate children and their families about what goes on in a hospital, and perform demonstrations with both real and pretend medical equipment.

Children ages two to 10 years and their teddy bears will visit a variety of medical play stations in the hospital's Terrace Room, and allow their bears to receive a hospital bracelet before undergoing a comprehensive "check-up."

This event will feature an ambulance tour and interactive stations, as well as showcase pediatric and pediatric emergency care, diagnostic imaging, respiratory care, pet therapy and other services.

The Teddy Bear Clinic will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7 at The Valley Hospital Terrace Room from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free, but registration is required. To register, click here.
