Verheek has spent 15 years in car sales. He initially got into the industry by responding to an ad in the paper for a sales position as an introduction to the automotive industry.
During the delivery process, Verheek constantly makes sure to go over all of the features and gadgets until the new owner feels comfortable with the vehicle. Helping customers get into the perfect vehicle that fits their needs is at the heart of what Verheek does.
"Many relationships are gained on the job," said Verheek, which he feels is part of the satisfaction he gets from working in the industry and with Hawthorne Chevrolet. In fact, he takes pride in the relationships that he builds long after customers buy their cars from him. For him, building community relationships through his local customers is as important as helping find them find a new car.
On his spare time, Verheek he enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie, and their 4 year old twins Nicholas and Madeline, as well as playing golf.
