Frank Talk: Customers rave over the fair prices and great-tasting deep-fried Thumann’s dogs. They even like the color-coded system for ordering. Becuase it's a family-run operation -- Co-Owner Jim Strohmeyer works the counter and register, while his son, Jim Jr., cooks, -- the place has its own unique flavor and old-fashioned charm. Being near a school, the owners allow students to eat on a credit system and offer a host of daily specials, including 10 percent off for senior citizens.
