Cross River Bank brought a total of 19 volunteers during the two dates. The volunteers helped frame, install insulation to the exterior and paint siding for the future Bergenfield home on Bergen Avenue. The 1,900-square-foot home will include three bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, a kitchen, living room and one-car garage.
“Our employees are engaged not just in the work they do, but also in having a positive impact on the communities where they live,” said Gilles Gade, CEO of Cross River Bank. “We hold true to our roots as a community bank proudly founded in New Jersey.”
The latest environmental and energy-efficiency standards are being utilized and solar panels will be installed to provide the new homeowner with utility cost-saving opportunities.
“We are always enthusiastic to create new partnerships with local partners like Cross River Bank, and we look forward to developing these community alliances to help promote the good work they do in and out of the office,” said Angela King, Habitat Bergen’s executive director of volunteers.
