Novellino-Mearns published "Saving Radio City Music Hall: A Dancer's True Story" in March 2015.
"With the return of Radio City Music Hall's New York Spectacular on June 15, it is especially important to recall the rarely acknowledged fact that, if it hadn't been for the courageous efforts of one young woman and her dedicated colleagues 38 years ago this month, millions of Americans and visitors from around the world in the past four decades would have been deprived of this unforgettable theatrical experience," organizers note.
"In 'Saving Radio City Music Hall: A Dancer's True Story,' Rosemary Novellino-Mearns tells the true story of how Radio City Music Hall, art deco masterpiece, iconic cultural landmark and New York City’s premier tourist attraction for generations, was saved from demolition."
Novellino-Mearns will share her story and answer questions, and the book will also be available for purchase.
The event will run from 1:30-3 p.m. in the library's Friends Meeting Room. The library is at 50 W. Clinton Ave.
