BERGENFIELD, N.J. — A new Italian restaurant recently opened in Bergenfield.
The Recipe serves homemade Mediterranean dishes with a family flare and has quickly gained popularity with critics and local diners.
Formerly known as Amici Family Restaurant, The Recipe is a BYOB eatery with lunch and dinner menus. They also offer catering for various occasions and take-out as well.
Open seven days a week, the restaurant starts serving at 11 a.m.. Friday and Saturday the serve food until 11 p.m. and Sunday through Thursday until 10 p.m. Early Bird Specials are from 3-5:30 p.m., seven days a week
Offerings include pizza, calzones and sandwiches, along with seafood entrees, and traditional Italian offerings like penne vodka, lasagna and chicken parm. Then there are The Recipe specialties such as veal arugula, eggplant del monte and the chef's specials.
