Glaze Donuts In New Milford Wins Grand Prize At Donut Fest

NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- In spite of near-record snowfall and whiteout conditions Saturday, Jan. 23, New Milford Glaze Donuts Owner Jule Hazoue drove to Williamsburg, Brooklyn and was rewarded with the Judge's Choice and Grand Prize winner at the first annual Donut Fest NYC.

Saturday's blizzard didn't deter Jule Hazou, founder and owner of Glaze Donuts in New Milford, who drove to Donut Fest NYC at Verboten in Williamsburg, Brooklyn Saturday, Jan. 23 and took the grand prize from nine other hardy competitors.

"We are super stoked," Hazou said. "We were pitted against eight other great New York City donut competitors, all in the name of charity, and we came out on top."

Snow didn't dampen the spirits of attendees, many wearing donut-themed clothing to add to the fun. Proceeds from ticket sales went to support the Food Bank of New York City.

Hazou invites you to visit his New Milford store at 358 River Road, where — in addition to Cannoli and maple-bacon donuts — you'll find organic coffees, sandwiches made with premium ingredients and served on your choice of crepe, croissant, sourdough and multi-grain bread.
