Bergenfield Deli Destroyed In Fire Reopens Six Months Later

BERGENFIELD, N.J. — Six months after a fire tore through a Bergenfield deli and the shops around it, Foster Village Kosher Deli has reopened its doors.

The Foster Village Kosher Deli in Bergenfield is dishing up pastrami once again from its renovated store six months after a fire.

Back in April, several area fire departments responded to the two-alarm blaze that consumed the South Washington Avenue complex around 4:15 a.m., NorthJersey.com reports.

The deli continued catering as it worked to rebuild the shop, with a goal of reopening last month.
